App for dog’s Heart resting respiratory rate

September 6, 2013

West Kendall Animal Hospital would like to introducing to you, the new Your Dog’s Heart Resting Respiratory Rate (RRR) App. RRR is a proven tool to identify and manage dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF).The new RRR app makes monitoring easy for dog owners to do at home with the help of a smartphone.
• Tracks dog’s RRR
• Compares RRR over time
• Enables owners to upload their information directly to WKAH
Download the free app at your smartphone’s app store to explore it now. Search Google play (android app) for resting respiratory rate; or Apple’s App Store. Additionally, visit http://www.yourdogsheart.com to get the app and learn about heart disease.
Most clients are unaware that their dogs may be at risk for heart disease. In fact, a recent survey showed that 55% of dog owners were not aware that their dogs could get heart disease, 51% had never discussed heart disease with their veterinarians, and 24% thought that heartworm disease and CHF were the same thing (2013 survey of 482 dog owners conducted by Boehringer Ingelheim). Unfortunately, this lack of awareness can mean that they fail to bring in their dogs for routine monitoring. That’s why Boehringer Ingelheim has developed this app to help promote awareness of and manage heart disease.
